Fire Returns to Hempstead Plains!

In April 2023, we executed the first prescribed burn at the Hempstead Plains Preserve since the 1990’s!

A wonderful testament to the passion of our Board of Director’s and local stakeholders to restore the Hempstead Plains. A very special thank you to the “boys behind the burn” Sustainable Solutions, LLC who traveled a long way to safely and effective meet our goals for a controlled burn at the plains.
